Accreditation: The Certified Directors Course

The CertDir course and qualification encompasses the core knowledge and awareness that is necessary to function effectively as a board director. When you become accredited, not only are you exponentially more effective in your current role, a whole new world of potential Board opportunities are open to you.   Many companies look for an accreditation that meets global standards.   You will find that certification with the Cam-IoD.

• We provide: An in-depth view of the structures, role, responsibilities, compliance, best practices and duties of directorship.

• An understanding of the characteristics of an effective board.

• A sound knowledge of financial terms and concepts.

• An understanding of the issues and processes associated with strategic planning leadership.

Mandatory course modules include:

1. Board Structure and Significance.

2. Role of the Director and Board.

3. Corporate Strategy for Board Directors.

4. Corporate Finance for Board Directors.

5. Leadership for Board Directors.

6. Corporate Risk.

7. Compliance and Best Practices for Board Directors.

8. Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) At Board Level.

Participants will complete an examination to become fully accredited.

Modules are subject to change.

Workshops

These are in-person, half-day sessions.

Each workshop studies a specific topic relevant to operating on a senior management or board leadership level. By completing the workshops, you will gain a greater understanding of corporate governance, boardroom best practices, directorship and C-level management. You will also build lasting relationships with business leaders in Cambodia.

We plan to hold a minimum of eight workshops per calendar year.

We know it is not possible for everyone to take a half-day away from the office to attend a physical workshop, so to make our offerings available to a broader range of individuals, we developed a series of webinars to help close that gap.

We are calling the webinars “Lunch and Learn.” You – or anyone in your office – can register to attend online at, you guessed it, lunchtime. You can participate right from your desk as you take your midday break.

Some of the webinar topics will delve into essential subjects related to corporate governance and best practices for boardrooms. Other sessions will explore intriguing topics such as Trends in Governance (including ESG considerations, managing business in a volatile global environment, and potential challenges associated with AI), Finding Your Path to Serving on a Board, and Understanding Your Responsibilities Under EU Data Laws.
