Courses

The CertDir course and qualification encompasses the core knowledge and awareness that is necessary to function effectively as a board director and provides:

• An in-depth view of the structures, role, responsibilities, compliance, best practices and duties of directorship

• An understanding of the characteristics of an effective board

• A sound knowledge of financial terms and concepts

• An understanding of the issues and processes associated with strategic planning leadership There are mandatory module subjects in the CertDir course.

3. Corporate Finance For Board Directors

4. Corporate Risk

5. Compliance and Best Practices for Board Directors

6. Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) At Board Level

Participants will complete an examination to become fully accredited.

Optional Online Workshops

The CIoD will also provide a series of half day online workshops, which are designed to provide the essential understanding of core issues for board governance and corporate directorship. These are optional, open to a wide range of participants and separate to the CertDir course.
